Hey, guys. So, I wanted to do a really fun look kind of welcoming spring, although it’s still super cold here in Savannah, and I figured why not use the Deck of Scarlet and Evon collaboration palette. Deck of Scarlet is a makeup subscription service. I’ll have all their information listed down below. But I thought the really bold colors in here would be perfect for a spring look.
So, the first color that I’m starting off with is Makeup Geek’s Cocoa Bear. Y’all know that’s my favorite transition shade. And I’m just using a fluffy crease brush to apply this as my transition shade.
And now going into the Deck of Scarlet palette, I’m taking this deep brown shade that is called Fudge and I’m just going to be applying this in my outer V and bringing it upwards into my crease. And now I’m just taking this Morphe brush and blending those colors out because, as always, blending is key. But y’all already know that.
And now going back into the palette, I’m taking this really pretty orange shade. I thought this color would definitely be the spotlight of this color…of this look, and I’m basically packing that color onto the lid. It’s an absolutely gorgeous color, but to really get it to pop, you definitely want to make sure to pack it onto the lid. So, I went ahead and applied my lashes and liner off camera.
But now I’m going in with this green liner that also comes with the Deck of Scarlet palette, and I’m placing that shade onto my water line. And then I’m just going to take the green color from the palette, called Mermaid, and I’m going to place it on top of that green liner, again, just to add some boldness and some color to the look.
But now I’m taking this Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. I don’t use this concealer all that often. I like it for more of a highlighting concealer, but, to me, it doesn’t last as long as a lot of other concealers that I have, but I wanted a more highlighted look so I decided to go ahead and use it. I mean, it’saight. It’s not the greatest, it’s not the worst, but I do like it.
And now to set that concealer, I’m going in with my Laura Mercier translucent powder. This is the original color, not the medium deep. And I do have that review coming up for you guys, so definitely stay tuned because I did pick up the deeper shade. But I’m just using my beautyblender to press that in. And now I’m going in with my Bobbi Brown bronzer in the shade Deep 4 that y’all know I love, and I’m just using that to add some warmth to my face. I already had applied my foundation off camera. I just use more of, like, a tinted moisturizer because my face is still recovering from when it broke out real bad, so I didn’t do a full coverage foundation for this look.
And now I’m using the Anastasia and Beverly hills Nicole Guerriero highlighter palette, and I’m using the shade Daydream, and I’m going to apply that with my BH Cosmetics highlighter brush. And I have to say, y’all, I’m really loving this palette. The colors in this highlighter palette are gorgeous.
And now for the lips, I’m taking this Jordana matte lip cream. This one is in Cinnamon Toast. I think, for a drugstore matte lipstick, the Jordana ones are amazing.
I just wanted a little bit of color, almost more of, like, a pink-y, nude-y brown type of color, so Cinnamon Toast was perfect for this look.
