Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today’s tutorial is going to be on this purple overload prom or special occasion make-up look.I went out of my comfort zone today and decided to play around with some color.I really hope you guys like it.If you want to know how I got this look then please, keep on watching.
I already went ahead and primed my face and now I’m just going to go in with foundation. For foundation today, I’m going to be using Eve Pearl’s Flawless Face palette.I’m just going to be mixing these two colors together. Now I’m just going to go in with my beauty blender just to really press that into the skin. For concealer I’m going to be using LA Girls Pro Concealer in medium beige, and I’m just going to be applying this to the areas where I want my face to be highlighted. Now I’m just going to blend that in with my beauty blender. For powder, I’m going to use the Cover Effects Perfect Setting Powder in translucent light and I’m just going to go ahead and press that into the skin.So I already went ahead and filled in my brows off-camera.I do have a brow tutorial which I will be listing down in the description box for those of you who missed that video.
Now it’s time for eyeshadow. The palette that I’m going to be using today is from Deck of Scarlet, and this is the Second Edition palette, and just look at how gorgeous these colors are.Like I’m living for all of these shades. The palette comes with three eyeshadow shades, two cheek shades and two lip shades. And, you also get this lipstick on the side, as well. They come out with a new palette every two months and you get all of this for literally the price of maybe one highlighter, which is amazing, because for those of us who are on a budget you get so many different things in here that you can just play with, and you don’t have to buy everything separately.I do get the palette a little bit before you guys do so I get to play around with it and then review it for you guys.
The first color I’m going to be using is actually a cheek shade, and this is Bobdy, but I’m going to be using this as an eyeshadow.I’m just taking that on a medium size blending brush and then I’m going to sweep that onto the crease, just so it can give us some color.I’m just blending that upwards.
To deepen up the crease a little bit more I’m going to be going into the shade, Making Mauve, and I’m using a smaller blending brush to apply this color because I want this shade to stay more concentrated on the crease and I’m not going to take it up as high as that first shade.
To really give me that defined outer V, I’m going to be going into the shade, Sophia, and I’m taking that same blending brush. So I’m just going to place that onto the outer V and I’m going to go halfway into the crease and then blend that outwards. These shades are so pigmented.Like a little bit goes a long way.
For the lid, I’m going to be going into the shade, Peachy Keen, and I’m just taking that on a small, flat brush.
To highlight my brow bone and inner corner of my eyes, I’m just going to be going into the shade, Gilded. To smoke out my lower lash line, I’m going to be going into the shade, Sophia. For eyeliner, I’m going to be using Eve Pearl’s smudge proof liquid eyeliner.I’m just going to start in the inner corner very thin and just wing it out as I get towards the outer V.And I am a gel liner type of girl, so please wish me luck with this liquid eyeliner.I’m just trying something new.I do have to say that this is going on pretty smooth. For mascara, I’m going to be using Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes, and I’m just going to apply this to both the top and bottom lashes. For lashes, I’m going to be using Huda Beauty’s Farah.I really love like how dramatic these lashes are.
For blush, I’m going to be using Peaceful, by Tarte. To highlight my face I’m going to be going back into the shade, Gilded from the Deck of Scarlet palette. This is a super soft highlight, but it’s perfect for this look because since the eyes are so heavy, we really don’t want anything else to be too strong.
For lipstick, I’m first going to be going in with the Deck of Scarlet MIA lip crayon. Now I’m going to be going over that with the shade Plum.I love how creamy these lipsticks are. They literally just glide on your lips like butter.
All right, guys.So this is the final look. If you want to recreate this look I will be listing down all the links to all of the products that I used in today’s video, including the Deck of Scarlet palette, which is mostly what I used to create this look.
