Hey, guys. I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m sharing with you the look I wore in my last video which was the Lips Watch video with Madam Glam. This look is featuring the new Deck of Scarlet palette for July and August. If you don’t know what Deck of Scarlet is, it’s a bi-monthly subscription service where every two months, you get a makeup palette plus, in this case, an eyeliner. And, unlike other services, you can cancel any time or skip a palette if you’re not feeling it. And every palette is a collab with a You Tuber. This particular palette is in collaboration with Nazanin Kavari. I hope I’m not butchering her name. But I was sent this palette so I wanted to use it in a video and this was my first impression. But I have used it a lot since. Especially the cheek products because they are so, so beautiful.
So, here we go. I primed my lips as per [INAUDIBLE 00:01:03] and then I picked up the neutral match shade and applied this into and above my crease to give my eyes some depth.
And I’m also applying this on my bottom lash line and then I’m picking up the shade Feeling Peachy, with my fingers, and applying this all over my lids. I really like how the shades in here go so well together and complement each other. And, by the way, no this is not sponsored.
And then I’m dusting some of the shade Sho Cute right on top of my initial transition shade to add a bit more interest. Don’t be scared to use a shimmery shade like this as a transition color. It’s all good as long as the shimmer is super fine and not too reflective.
You also get an eyeliner with this palette. I’m really picky when it comes to eyeliners because I can’t stand when they smudge or transfer and I also need a lot of control and precision because I have hooded eyes and that makes applying liner harder already. And this one really ticks all the boxes. I was so pleasantly surprised how easy this is to apply. The brush is very fine so it’s perfect if you don’t have a lot of lid space, like me, or you just prefer a thinner liner. I also extended my inner corners a bit for a kind of a feline look and this is the area that a lot of liners fail me too, but this one did great.
And then I’m, of course, adding some mascara, top and bottom. For the top lashes, I’m using the [INAUDIBLE 00:02:18] Lash Alert mascara and for the bottom I’m using MAC Extended Play. And I also added some lashes off camera.
Eyes are done, moving on to the face and I’m applying the blush shade called Baby Doll on my cheeks and I clearly did not expect it to be so pigmented. So you only need a small amount on your brush and I really like that it’s not powdery. And it doesn’t have a ton of cake bag [INAUDIBLE 00:02:40] because that’s something that I totally can’t stand.
And then, of course, I’m also using the highlighter in the palette. It’s called Jasmine…Yasmine… I’m not sure. And it’s a very intense beigey shimmery shade and I find this gives your face almost a wet look because the shimmer is so fine that it reflects beautifully without any chunks of glitter.
For the lips, I’m first lining them with Color Props Aquarius liner. I love this shade because it goes with almost everything. Now I’m first dabbing the shade Birthday Suit on with my fingers. It’s a very pretty orangey-browny nude but I also wanted to try out the other more pinky shade which is called Majesty. So I’m just dabbing it on top and I felt like the lips needed a little bit of something extra so I picked up some of the highlighter and dabbed it right on top in the center.
the finished look is very soft and wearable but still glamorous and I really like how it came out. I think this is a really nice palette. I will have all info on it down in the info box. I support Deck of Scarlet because they are cruelty free, paraben-free, made in the U.S. Their policy is really consumer friendly and last, but not least, the products are really good.
So, thank you guys for watching. Give this video a thumbs up if you enjoy it and I will see you later. Bye.
