Easy Summer Makeup: Purple Eyeshadow by Leslie Alvarado
Beauty Blogger Leslie Alvarado prepared this Easy Summer Makeup: Purple Eyeshadow makeup tutorial using only ONE palette: Deck of Scarlet. To recreate the look, read the transcription and follow the step by step images below:
Hi, guys! Welcome back to my channel. Today, I have a really, quick, easy, purplish look on my eyes and on my lips, and I hope you guys enjoy. Well, the first thing I’m going to be doing is filling in my brows. I already lightly colored them in with a pencil, but I’m actually going to be adding a little bit more color to them with this Makeup Forever Palette, and I’m just going to perfecting them. I’m going to be sculpting them with this concealer by MAC. It’s the MAC Pro Longwear, one of my faves. And, of course, I’m going to be blending it with my finger. And now for the palette, I’m pretty excited for using the Deck of Scarlet for this month, which is by Bab’s Beauty.
And just in case you aren’t aware of Deck of Scarlet, it’s actually a makeup subscription where every two months, you get a new palette that comes with all of the products you need for a full-face of make-up. The shade that I’m actually going to be using first is Peachy Keen. I decided to go with this palette because I wanted some color in my look, since I’m used to just wearing neutrals. I was like, okay, let me throw in some purples.
One of my favorite things about the subscription is that each month they actually collab with a YouTuber. So, it actually excites to see what colors the palette’s going to be. As you can see, this one came with a lot of purples, which I really needed to use. Then for the center of the lid, I’m going to be using Gilded, which is a pretty light brown with shimmer.
I’m also going to be using the very dark purple in the palette, which is Sophia. I’m just going over on the crease again. I’ll make sure to leave a direct link in case you guys are interested in trying out the subscription.
I’m also going to be adding a wing. So, I’m using this eyeliner by The Balm Cosmetics, the Shwing Liner. And now, for my face, I’m actually going to be priming with the Too Faced Hangover primer. And now I’m going to be color correcting with the Makeup Forever HD Concealer. And I thought it would be perfect to try new foundation since I was going out. This is the Hello Flawless by Benefit, and I have it in the shade Toasted Beige. Now that I completely blended the foundation, I’m going to be applying the concealer. And the concealer that I’m using is the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. And I’m just going to be blending it with a damp beauty blender. I kind of didn’t know what look I was going for, so I kind of just went with what I was doing.
Once I’m done blending, I’m going to make sure that my concealer and my foundation last all day. So, I’m using the Sacha Cosmetics and Laura Mercier powder, which I’m going to be leaving on for a few minutes, then buffing it. And for the bronzer, I’m going to be taking this one by The Balm Cosmetics, the Balm Desert, and lightly applying some on the cheeks, my forehead, and of course my neck or my chin. I’m also going to be giving some definition to my nose. And for the lips, you guys, I wasn’t really sure what to apply, but I figured, why not try the Ciate Liquid Velvet in Delight? And I noticed it was a little too pinkish, so I applied a little bit of the Jouer Snap Dragon on my lips, just so that it would go a little bit better with my eye makeup.
For the lashes, I use these very inexpensive lashes by e.l.f., which come in the Luxe Lash Kit. While my lashes dried, I went back to the lips to just line them up, so they look a little bit neater, with the Makeup Forever Aqua Lip in the shade 10c. And then I applied a bit of mascara on the bottom lashes, and on the top lashes, just to kind of blend with my falsies. And I’m using the Telescopic by Loreal.
And I’m completely done with this look. I hope you guys really enjoyed it. I thought it was very easy. So, if you did enjoy this video, make sure to give it a big thumbs-up. And subscribe, if you guys haven’t. Bye, guys!
