Spring is here and so is an easy spring makeup tutorial made by Blanka White in collaboration with Deck of Scarlet. To help you recreate this makeup look, please watch the YouTube video, read the transcription and follow the step by step images.
Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. I hope you’re all doing well today. I’m going to be doing a super simple everyday spring look. You have that really pretty pop of color on the under eyes that I love so much, and just a super natural lip. I’m really obsessed with this color. For most of the look, like the contour, highlight, the whole eye look, and the lip color, I actually used my new Deck of Scarlet palette. It basically comes in packaging like this. I want to show you guys because I think it’s so cute in how they laid it out.
If you guys don’t know what Deck of Scarlet is, it’s basically a service where every two months you get a new palette, and each palette is actually in collaboration with a top YouTuber. So, this palette is in collaboration with Evon Wahab. I’m not sure how to say her last name, but I do love her videos. I watch them all the time. She’s so pretty and it was so cool how she, like, got to design this palette.
So, this is what the palette looks like. It comes in packaging like this, it’s so cute. And it’s a little sleeve so you just pop it out and then it looks like this. It’s super compact so it’s perfect for travel because you have, like, everything you need to create a look, and you don’t have, like, a ton of eyeshadows, because sometimes, you get palettes and you, like, don’t even use half of them. So, you just have the perfect amount of everything to create a look.
So, as you can see, in this palette there’s some pretty fun colors. So, you have three shadows, you have two cheek colors, and then two lip creams. And then you also get two pencils, so one’s an eyeliner, one’s lip. So, this one is called Cake Pop and it’s a lip pencil. I actually used it to go with one of the lip creams I used from the palette and it went on so nicely and it’s just such a pretty color. I know I’m going to be using this a ton. And then you also get a long wear eye pencil. I can’t say the name of this, so I’ll just put it right here, but it’s a gorgeous emerald green. And I did also use this on my lower lash line.
I’m honestly obsessed with Deck of Scarlet now because you get all of this for $29.95 plus free shipping, which is an awesome deal. You can also cancel your subscription any time, and if you want to skip a palette, you can. And also, it is cruelty free, paraben free, and it’s made in the U.S., which is just awesome. I love this palette and I’m so happy I have it. It’s just perfect. You have everything you need to create a look with. And if you guys do want to check it out, I will have a link down below. And, now, let’s just get started with the tutorial.
I’m going to go ahead and start off with doing my face makeup first. To make sure I have a nice base on my face, I’m going to be using the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer. Before I do my foundation, I’m going to be using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind little dark circle eraser. And this is the shade neutralizer, so I’m just going to be putting this under my eyes and on any red spots that I have just so I don’t have to use, like, a ton of foundation.
For foundation, I’m going to be using the L’Oréal Pro Glow. This has been one of my favorite foundations ever, and I’m in the shade 202. Now I’m moving on to concealer. I’m going to be using the NARS Radiant Creamy to highlight my under eyes and, like, my forehead a bit. And then to cover any other redness that I have, I’m just going to be using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer.
So, now onto setting my face. I’ve been doing things a little bit differently, so I am going to be using my RCMA No Color Powder, and I just use the lid of my Laura Mercier powder. I’m going to be getting some of the product and just baking under my eyes to prevent creasing and just to really set the concealer under there. And I will go back and set some other points of my face, but first, I’m going to be bronzing and contouring.
So, for bronzer, I’m just starting off with using the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer. I love this stuff so much. It smells so good, and it’s just that perfect bronze color, especially for my fair skin right now. So, I’m just going to be basically bronzing my forehead, my cheeks, and bringing it down to my jaw line.
For contour, I’m going to be using one of the face powders from my Deck of Scarlet palette, and this one is, like, a super ashy matte color, so it’s perfect for contouring. You don’t want to use too much because you don’t want to look dirty, but I’m just going to be using a light hand with it. And this is called Sandstorm, by the way.
For blush, I’m just going to be using NARS Madly. It’s just a super natural pinky-nude color. So, as you can see right now, the contour’s kind of messy, so what I’m going to do is go back in with my RCMA No Color Powder. I’m going to be using the Real Techniques brush because I love the flat end on this, and basically, I’m going to be cleaning up my contour. This makes it look so much better and, honestly, just makes it stand out and just look so good.
I just let that sit, though, for a little bit and them I’m going in with my Maybelline Fit Me powder, and I’m just going to be dusting this all over my face on any spots that I didn’t bake, and then, also, I’ll just sweep it under my eyes to remove any of the excess powder.
So, now for highlight, I’m going to be using the one from my Deck of Scarlet palette. It’s literally the perfect gold. It’s so pretty. And I’m just going to be using a smaller brush so I can get, kind of, more, like, in there and precise.
So, once I’m done with the highlight—it looks so good—I’m going to be moving on to the eyes. And I’m so excited because I’m going to do, like, a really fun pop of green on the lower lash line, and I’m just so excited to dig into these colors because they’re so pretty. The first thing that I’m going to do is just prime my eyelids using the Soft Ochre Paint Pot from MAC.
Starting off, I’m going to be using the contour shade called Sandstorm, and I’m just going to be putting this in my crease as the transition shade, and then later, I’m going to go in with Fudge here to deepen it up. And then, as I said, I’m taking Fudge on a more defined crease brush and just putting that into the crease.
So, now I’m going to be taking the highlight shade and I’m going to be actually putting this over my lid just because it’s so pretty. It’s, like, the perfect gold highlight, and, of course, you can use it as a gold shadow, as well.
All I’m going to be finishing the look off with is taking a little bit of Sunshine—it’s like a super pigmented orange color, so you just want a little bit of this—and I’m just going to be putting this into my outer corner and blending it into my crease.
So, now for the lower lash line, I’m going to be mixing Fudge and Sandstorm on a really small brush, and I’m just going to be smudging this on my entire lower lash line. And then I’m going to go in with the color Mermaid, this is a beautiful deep emerald green, and I’m just going to be putting this way closer to the lower lash line. And the brown that we put there is kind of the base because you don’t want it to be all blue under there, so it’s going to blend really nicely.
So, now to finish off the look, I’m first just going to be taking a black liner to tight line my top lash line. And then for the lower lash line, I’m going to be using the pencil that came with the palette, and this is basically the same color as the mermaid eyeshadow we used. So, I’m just going to be putting this into the, like, outer corner of my waterline.
Now I’m going to be applying some false lashes. Of course, I’m curling them and then applying mascara first. And I’m going to be using the Kiss Poised lashes.
So, now to finish off with the lips, I’m going to be using the lip pencil that came with the palette, it’s called Cake Pop. And then you basically get two lip creams in here, and they’re super creamy. I actually didn’t know, so I kind of dug my fingers in there, but they’re very creamy and pigmented. And I’m basically going to be outlining my lips with the Cake Pop lip liner, and then I’m lightly going to be using the color Almond to fill it in.
And then to apply the lip cream, I’m just going to be using a brush. And as you can see, I literally hardly even put it in there and I have so much product on there because they’re so creamy.
So, this is what the lip color looks like. I think it’s so pretty, and it’s like the perfect everyday color that would literally go with any look.
So, I really hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you want to check out any of the products I talked about, they will be all listed in the description and I will see you guys all in my next video.
